Pedestrian Crossing Signals

In 2008, the Village installed three illuminated crossing signals to significantly improve the safety of crossings near schools. Two of the signals have been placed near Mundelein High School, one on Midlothian Road and one on West Hawley Street. The third signal was placed near Mechanics Grove Elementary School. Motorists are reminded that they must stop when pedestrians are in the crosswalk or when the crossing lights are flashing.
