Foreign Fire Tax Board

The following information is provided to prospective Economic Development Commission members as a guide to the functions and duties of the Economic Development Commission.

FUNCTION:

To develop and maintain a listing of items as appropriate expenditures for the Foreign Fire Insurance Fund provided for in 65 ILCS 5/11/10-2 and have the power to approve the expenditure of moneys from the account for the maintenance, use, and benefit of the department. The Foreign Fire Insurance Board shall adopt rules and regulations for the governing and the execution of the duties of the Foreign Fire Insurance Board.

MEMBERSHIP:

Three members elected by members of the Fire Department. Members of the Fire Department shall elect the following officers to the Foreign Fire Insurance Board: 1 Chairperson, 1 Vice Chairperson, 1 Secretary/Treasurer.

  • FF Clifton Englund - Secretary/Treasurer

COMPENSATION:

None

MEETINGS:

Quarterly at 8:30 a.m., Mundelein Fire Department, 1000 North Midlothian Road.
