Capital Improvement Program

Engineering staff are responsible for the Village’s 5-year Capital Improvement Program, administering the public infrastructure by designing and constructing improvements as forecasted. The CIP, updated on an annual basis, addresses the Village’s infrastructure needs which include street, sidewalk, curb & gutter, water and sewer system, drainage, and streetscape improvements.

Stormwater Management

Engineering staff strives to find ways to protect our water ways and encourage development at the same time. In order to do so, staff is tasked with finding a balance between the regulations of the Clean Water Act and Lake County Stormwater Management Ordinance and encouraging growth and development of our community. If you would like to learn about what the Village is doing to manage stormwater, please visit our stormwater page. Please let us know if we can assist you or your project in finding that balance so that everyone can benefit.
