MHS Incubator Program

Mundelein High School’s Business INCubator program, the first of its kind in the area, offers students an authentic entrepreneurial experience. In this program, students have the opportunity to create and fully develop their own product or service and actual entrepreneurs and business experts serve as volunteer coaches. They help to mentor and guide student teams through the lean start-up processes of developing hypotheses about a business concept, testing those hypotheses, adapting, and continually learning and improving. This cycle of experimentation is combined with foundational business concepts such as marketing and finance. Mundelein High School is seeking dynamic community members who have experience starting their own business, working for a start-up business, and/or a general understanding of business. There are varying levels of time commitments and involvement, including coaches, who work with the teacher to present a lesson over the course of a few class periods, to mentors, who work with students weekly via in-person meetings, email, phone, and the like to help mold and shape their idea.
