The Fremont Public Library District, a 78,000 square foot facility located at 1170 N. Midlothian Road in Mundelein, encompasses parts of Mundelein, Grayslake, Hawthorn Woods, Libertyville, Round Lake, Round Lake Park, and Wauconda.
Fremont Public Library recently was named one of America’s four-star libraries by the Library Journal Index of Library Service, a measurement tool that compares U.S. public libraries on the quantities of services they deliver. Fremont is one of nine Illinois libraries and the only one in Lake County to achieve the four-star ranking.
The Board of Trustees and the staff of the Fremont Public Library strive to make each person’s visit to the facility as enjoyable and productive as possible.
