Mundelein Kirk Players to Present Mystery Thriller Play

Mundelein Kirk Players proudly present the mystery/thriller play, Postmortem, a fun “who done it” kind of mystery play with twist, turns, suspects, suspense and lots of laughs. Postmortem will take place at Mundelein High School Auditorium on Friday, October 6 and Saturday, October 7 at 7:30 p.m. and at 2 p.m. on October 7 and 8. The play is set in April 1922 and the cast of William Gillette’s latest Broadway revival of "Sherlock Holmes" has assembled for a weekend of relaxation at his magnificent medieval castle.

For entertainment, actor William Gillette, best known for his 30-year portrayal of the famous sleuth Sherlock Holmes, has arranged a séance. Now the scene is set for his greatest role. Someone is trying to murder Gillette and he suspects it is one of his guests. Gillette plans to solve the case himself à la Sherlock Holmes.

According to an online review, this play is sure to please. “Take a clever script by Ken Ludwig, mix well with a capable troupe of players, sprinkle with rich visuals of stage and costume, and you've got a recipe for a delightful evening."

Tickets are available by calling the box office at 847-521-6192 or by visiting www.kirkplayers.org.
