Mundelein Resident Crowned Mrs. Royalty International

The Village of Mundelein proudly congratulates longtime Mundelein resident, Catherine Arneson, for earning the prestigious title and honor of Mrs. Royalty International Woman 2017. Mrs. Royalty International is an international pageant for girls and women ages 4 and up, including Ms., Mrs. and Woman. The various divisions compete in evening gown, personal interview, and fashion wear.

“I feel honored to represent Mundelein with my title. I competed against 62 other contestants and pageant encourages and supports volunteerism. Since my crowning, I have already participated in 8 different organizations. I did my first appearance and video at Save-A-Pet in Grayslake for "Clear the Shelter" day. I donated books to "Alphabet Kids," and sent donations down to the hurricane victims. I did an adoption event at PetSmart for their national adoption day. I participated in a benefit for the American Heart Association and a fundraiser for Fibromyalgia,” Arneson said.

“These are just a few of my appearances in the first month of having the title and it’s just a snapshot of what my year will look like going forward. Giving of your time and finding ways to give back to your community is what Mrs. Royalty International is all about. I’m very proud to be representing Mundelein in the process,” she added.

A Mundelein resident for the past 18 years, Catherine and her husband Ted have always been engaged citizens. “I am active in the Mundelein Women's Golf Association and I have been very busy, since my retirement from Neiman Marcus, doing volunteer work. I am happy to help various organizations but my passion has always been to help rescue, rehabilitate, and adopt homeless animals,” Arneson explained.
