Public Works and Engineering and Fremont Township Library Team-Up to Host Touch-a-Truck Events

Mundelein Public Works and Engineering, along with the Police and Fire Departments recently teamed up with the Fremont Public Library to hold the Village’s first ever touch-a-truck event. Every Wednesday throughout the month of June, those who visited the library were able to check out various Village vehicles, such as a snowplow, front-end loader, police cruiser, and fire truck.

Every week, Public Works & Engineering displayed a different truck from each of its divisions. Visitors learned about the division’s equipment and how they use it to complete their jobs. While there, visitors enjoyed food from a few of Mundelein’s favorites – Tony Cannoli and Taste of Paris.

Due to the level of community interest in this event, Public Works and Engineering plans to host similar Touch-A-Truck events in the future.
