Public Works Staff to Begin Storm Clean-Up Process— Guidelines to Follow to Expedite the Effort

Mundelein Public Works staff will begin picking up debris from the recent storm beginning Monday, July 17. Public Works will collect tree debris fallen by the storm and crews will go zone by zone to complete the job. Depending on the amount of damage from the storm, this process can take weeks.

Public Works crews ask that residents remain patient and help speed up the process by following these guidelines:

• Crews cannot chip branches greater than 18 inches in diameter. Please contact Sawvell Tree Service at 847-514-8800 to address any downed trees or limbs greater than 18 inches. There is a charge if you call Sawvell. The charge depends on various factors such as, size and accessibility of the tree.
• Place the cut end of the limb towards the street when bringing limbs to the parkway.
• Place the limbs 2 feet away from the back of the curb or edge of pavement so traffic lanes are not impacted and snow plows can access the area if necessary.
• Do not place limbs across sidewalks or paths. Position branches in the parkway so that they do not impact the pedestrian walkways.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation and patience.
