You’re Invited—Mundelein High School Choirs to Perform Musical Selections of Famous Mundelein Composer

Two of Mundelein High School’s vocal groups will perform musical selections of Mundelein composer Paul Langford at a free concert on April 16 at 7 p.m. at St. Mary of the Annunciation Church on West Erhart Road in Mundelein.

The Concert Choir and Master Singers will each perform a song composed by Langford. A Chicago-based singer, arranger, keyboardist, producer, and conductor, Langford has a career that spans over 25 years. According to his website, his works have been performed by vocal and instrumental groups all over the world including: The Chicagoland Pops, West Michigan Symphony, San Antonio Symphony, Voices of Liberty, GLAD, Willow Creek Community Church, multiple Disney parks, and many orchestras around the nation including the Pensacola, Grand Rapids, La Crosse, Anderson, Dubuque, Jackson, and Southwest Michigan Symphonies.

Langford has been a vocal and piano guest artist in studio and live performance with headline and Grammy Award-winning artists including: David Foster, Yolanda Adams, Kenny Rogers, Heather Headley, Abraham Laboriel, Michael Bublé, Josh Groban, and Celine Dion. He had the distinct honor to perform for former President Bill Clinton and former First Lady Michelle Obama. He also appears as part of the singing duo, Penning and Langford.

The Master Singers’ set will include Elegy by Dan Forrest and The Isle is Full of Noises, a mix of Shakespearean text and Mandarin.

The Concert Choir’s performance will include Prayer of the Children dedicated to the memory of those young people lost in recent violent events across the United States.
