Public Works Crews Collecting Storm Tree Debris—Important Guidelines to Follow
Mundelein Public Works crews are actively collecting tree debris that fell during the recent storm. If you have tree branches in need of collection, please have them to the parkway no later than Friday, July 17, 2020. Public Works crews will proceed zone by zone to collect debris. This process could take weeks to complete due to the volume of debris.
Public Works crews ask that residents remain patient and help speed up the process by following these guidelines:
- Crews cannot chip branches greater than 18 inches in diameter. Please contact a tree contractor to address any downed trees or limbs greater than 18 inches. Please contact Public Work for a list of vendors.
- Place the cut end of the limb towards the street when bringing limbs to the parkway.
- Place the limbs 2 feet away from the back of the curb or edge of pavement so traffic lanes are not impacted.
- Do not place limbs across sidewalks or paths. Position branches in the parkway so that they do not impact the pedestrian walkways.
For any questions, please contact Public Works and Engineering at 847-949-3270. Thank you for your cooperation and patience.
