Mundelein Arts Commission Introduces Stay-At-Home Film Project
Since the COVID-19 shelter-in-place order, most of life as we know it has changed. During troubling and uncertain times, the Mundelein Arts Commission (MAC) wants to utilize art to draw the community closer together and to provide a positive respite from the global news.
To this point, we want to see and celebrate the positive ways you and/or your family have been coping with the changes to everyday life. Has your family built a mini-golf course at your house? Is your dog thrilled that his best friend stays home with him during the day? Did you always want to learn to play the drums and now you are driving your neighbors crazy? Have you discovered a hidden talent?
Documenting life through photography and video enables us to recall history through the eyes of the documenter and this exercise can be therapeutic and fun! When we look back at these snapshots of our lives "sheltering at home," we want to remember the times that we made lemonade with our lemons.
Please post your video to our new Mundelein Arts Commission (MAC) Facebook page to share your experiences with your fellow community members. You will play a huge role in bringing joy, laughter, and a sense of community with your neighbors! We are all in this together…let’s try and have some fun! Some of the best videos will be featured on the Village of Mundelein’s official Facebook page!
- Videos shared must be under three minutes long.
- Please, no profanity, nudity, or politics. Let's keep it family-friendly. The MAC reserves the right to review all uploads for appropriateness.
