The Village of Mundelein actively promotes business development. Here are a few projects currently underway:

Dziadus Development (Former Village Hall) - In Progress

A new two-story 22,950 square foot building at the site of the former Village Hall to include two floors of office and retail space and 7,500 square feet of rooftop dining and entertainment space.

Ruprecht – Under Construction

$9.8 million, 74,670 square foot expansion of existing food preparation facility.

“Lot 5” – Pending

Five-story, 105-unit apartment building with approximately 25,000 square feet of retail on first floor. This Mega Realty project is located across from the Village Hall on Plaza Circle.

Maple Hill Subdivision – Under Construction

63 single family home subdivision by K. Hovnanian Homes at the intersection of Route 60/83 and Maple Avenue.

Lake Ridge Townhomes – Under Construction

Remaining 33 townhome units in the Lake Ridge Subdivision to be completed by DR Horton homebuilders.

North Central Service: Corridor Analysis and Plan – In Progress

Mundelein, in collaboration with the RTA, CMAP, and other municipalities along the NCS line, is conducting a study to investigate ways in which these stakeholders can work together to improve commuter train service along the North Central Service line.

Gateway Signage – In Progress

The Village is working to replace the existing signs at gateways into the Village. The new signs are being designed to better reflect community values and architecture as well as to provide a lasting impact on those traveling in or through the Village.

Pedestrian Bridge – In Progress

A new pedestrian connection is being designed and engineered to provide better connectivity between the residences on the east side of the CN railroad tracks, the Downtown, Plaza Circle, and the Metra Train Station.
