mayor lentzOn behalf of the Village of Mundelein Board of Trustees and Administrative Staff, thank you for your interest in Mundelein. First founded in 1909, Mundelein is now home to over 32,000 residents. We are a vibrant and welcoming community with small town charm, amenities of a much larger community, and safe neighborhoods. We offer the commercial, industrial, and retail opportunities that developers compete for and quality neighborhoods that homeowners wish for—making us one of the most desirable communities in Lake County.

As Mayor of Mundelein, I am committed to doing what it takes to foster a favorable economic climate and ensure prompt courteous service by the Village. My goals include: enhancing the quality of life, keeping our Village at the forefront of economic development and technology, and maintaining the safety of our neighborhoods and businesses. I’m committed to the Village of Mundelein and its future. I’m also committed to my fellow residents as we partner to make this an even better place to raise families, go to work, and enjoy life here in beautiful Central Lake County.

We take great pride in our Village. We have much to offer including our second to none municipal services, our beautiful and extensive Parks system, nationally recognized Blue Ribbon schools, and a strong industrial base. We are one of the safest communities in the nation, and Village government is efficient, effective, and fiscally sound. We have a broad range of year-round activities for residents, including Mundelein Community Days, Craft Beer Festival, Farmers Market, Concerts in the Park, Arts Festival, and Santa’s Cottage—to name just a few!

Our website contains important information about the Village. While it is important that the Village use the website to share information with residents, it is also important that our residents utilize this tool to keep up-to-date on Village business and happenings. There is a wealth of information provided on this site including the organizational structure, the Village budget, programs and services we offer, and Mundelein’s history and attractions.

We also have a very capable staff who stand ready to assist you with all of your inquiries. I invite you to contact us as at 847-949-3200 as needs arise, to clarify any concerns or answer any of your questions.
