Village of Mundelein has an opening for a full time Telecommunicator to dispatch Police, Fire and Emergency Medical Service Units, monitor fire band for mutual aid calls, answer incoming 911 calls, and radio communications directed to Police Department. Dispatcher will monitor radio traffic to keep appraised of field situations.
A high school degree or equivalent is required. Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications, including L.E.A.D.S. & EMD. Two years previous experience desired. Must work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays. Must remain calm in emergency situations.
Prospective interviewees must pass a job-related skills assessment prior to interview.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background investigation, drug screen and psychological evaluation.
Starting base pay $56,386.00 with excellent benefits.

Part-Time Opportunity - School Crossing Guard
The Mundelein Police Department is looking for a reliable individual to serve as a School Crossing Guard. Morning and afternoon hours are required. All equipment and training are provided. This position calls for prolonged standing, repetitive use of hand signals to motorists and school children, and the ability to withstand a variety of year-round fluctuating weather conditions. Minimum age 18 required.
Hourly rate $10.00 per hour; $40.00 per day guarantee
